On November 10^th, Cyril Piaia, CEO of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), and Sami Alnajrani, advisor to the chairman of KAEC, Fang Hong, vice chairman and president of National Centre for Sustainable Development(NCSD), and CEO of Atlas, and their team visited Land Group headquarter and conducted exchange and discussion.

This visit is the further observation and exchange after Ali M.Almudawi, deputy secretary general of Saudi Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (ECZA), visited Land Group. Based on the high connection between China’s the Belt and Road Policy and Saudi 2030 Vision, both parties conducted in-depth pragmatic exchange in aspects such as implementing city planning, industrial cooperation, carrier construction and talent cultivation in KAEC, and conducted further discussion on cooperation in contents such as establishing Saudi-Sino industrial park and Saudi Center in China.

KAEC covers 185 square kilometers, lies in the golden location of the Red Sea, and is the key passage for Saudi’s route to global trade. As one of the four major Saudi special economic zones (SEZs), SEZ of KAEC is the Saudi domestic economic growth pole. During the exchange, Cyril Piaia, CEO of KAEC fully recognized and praised Land’s capabilities and achievements in aspects of industrial park construction and operation, and green de-carbon development. Sami Alnajrani, advisor to the chairman of KAEC, explicated in detail the SEZ of KAEC and relevant policies, and made proposals on cooperation content and model for both parties. This meeting builds good cooperation organization and exchange mechanism for conducting further works.

Attachment: the introduction of KAEC

KAEC covers around 185 square kilometers and lies in the golden location of the Red Sea. The SEZ of KAEC is the typical example of government-enterprise cooperation in Saudi 2030 Vision and covers nearly 60 square kilometers. KAEC is constructed and operated centering on the industry valleys and ports as core, located along the key sea transportation routes in the Belt and Road Advocacy, connects with other Saudi regions, and has King Abdullah Port, a business port with the newest comprehensive service business in Saudi Arabia. The key industrial development direction in KAEC includes auto supply chain and assembly, fast-moving consumer goods, information and communication technology, medical care and logistics.
