Taicang (in Suzhou): hometown of German companies, the first cooperation base of Sino-German companies in China, model city of Sino-German friendly cooperation

Taicang, a two-way node connecting the tail of Yangtze River and sea entrance, is the departing place of Zhenghe's voyage to the west in history. Currently, there are more than 450 German invested companies in Suzhou, half of which are in Taicang. Taicang has become one of areas with well-developed and high dense German companies that generate more obvious economic benefits. In November 2008, Taicang was jointly awarded the first and unique title of "Cooperation Base of Sino-German companies" in China by the Ministry of Commerce of China and German Ministry of Economics. With more than 20 years' experience in cooperation with Germany, Taicang is very clear how to provide better services, which becomes a unique advantage of Taicang in cooperation with Germany in the new era.

At present, Taicang government has successfully built eight platforms for cooperation with Germany, including "three parks, two offices, two centres and one hall". They are respectively: Sino-German SME Industrial Park, Taicang German Overseas Students Pioneer Park, Sino-German Friendship Kindergarten, Taicang Office in Germany, Taicang Office of German Chamber of Commerce, German Centre, Steinbeis Centre, and Sino-German (Taicang) Cooperation Achievement Exhibition Hall. Among them, the German Centre is located in Land Dongting Building built by Land Group. Taicang German Overseas Students Pioneer Park, Sino-German Friendship Kindergarten, and Sino-German (Taicang) Cooperation Achievement Exhibition Hall are all located in Land Rhine City Square developed and operated by Land Group. The development of Land obtains strong support from government, hence during the development process, Land actively provides its own resources such as development and operation projects to assist government in building, operating and maintaining the service platform for inviting Germany investment, and promotes comprehensive and multi-field Sino-German interaction.

Suzhou Land Group: the strategic partner of the sixth German Centre in the world and the third in China

On March 31, 2015, the German Centre in Taicang (the eighth in the world, the third in China after Beijing and Shanghai, and the first in the world located outside capital and financial centre cities), built by Bayerische Landesbank with an investment of USD 12 million, officially signed a contract with Suzhou Land Group and settled in Land Dongting Building. After that, Land Group and Taicang German Centre reached strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build a Sino-German business service and value chain operation platform. The two parties will fully rely on each other's overall advantages, bring them into full play and implement extensive cooperation. On one hand, the advantage of Taicang German Centre enables Land Group to assist Chinese-invested companies operating in Germany to communicate with German government departments, management agencies, economic organizations, media and the public, and provide these companies with complete one-stop service including business activity, investment and legal affair, training exchange, corporate service, visa, residence, etc. The one-stop service will promote these Chinese companies to actively integrate into local society and culture. On the other hand, Suzhou Land Group will bring advantages of real estate operation and local resource integration into full play and actively serve German-invested companies operating in China. The service platforms such as Sino-German MOBO Business Centre and the Sino-German MOBO Innovation Centre will help realize the seamless connection among German-invested company, domestic government, market, other companies, and media. Meanwhile, the implementation of Sino-German activities in fields like culture, art and sports will improve quality of life of German company employees in China.
