China-Saudi Enterprise (Suzhou) Investment Promotion Conference was Successfully Held! The Saudi Investment and Business Center was officially unveiled!

On June 27, 2025, China-Saudi Enterprise (Suzhou) Investment Promotion Conference was successfully held in Changshu. Wu Qingwen, mayor of Suzhou, met with Ye Feng, chairman of Suzhou Land Group, Khaled Almana, chairman of investment and partnership of Saudi Almana Group, and his team. Zhang Wei, mayor of Changshu, participated in the meeting and delivered speech for the conference. Other conference participants include Dr. Hajiraf, former secretary-general of Gulf Cooperation Council, former Kuwait finance minister, and former chairman of Kuwait Investment Bureau, Dr. Obaid, founder of Saudi Development and Innovation Group, advisor to Saudi Industry and Mining Ministry, Mr. Arafat, chairman of Arab  Businessmen Forum in China, Mr. Sommer, chairman of the board of directors of German Centre, and Mr. Hu Haijing, chairman of SUMEC International Technology and Trade Co., Ltd.

 

 

For this conference, in total there are over 300 participants including political and business leaders, and investment agency experts from the Middle East Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as China’s industrial leading enterprise representatives. They jointly witness and promote the entering of China-Saudi cooperation into a new and key stage. 

 

               

 

 

The Saudi Investment and Business Center was officially unveiled

The Saudi Investment and Business Center (or “Saudi Center”) is composed of five centers including trading center, investment promotion center, cultural exchange center, investment center and joint innovation center. Saudi Center aims at promoting the conducting of China-Saudi enterprises pragmatic cooperation in fields such as two-way investments, technology innovation, service trade, and cultural exchange.

 

 

 

Currently, the construction of Saudi Center is at finishing stage, and the center will be officially launched next year. As the center’s core trading carrier, the phase one of China-Saudi International Cooperation Industrial Park will be completed and launched at the end of next year, by the end of this year, we will also start the preparation for constructing Riyadh China Enterprise Service Center (China Center).

 

 

Saudi Center construction was already listed as “2024 Key Work of Jiangsu Belt and Road Intersection Construction” and “Key Work of 2024 Suzhou-Participated Belt and Road Construction”. Speeding up “Saudi Center construction” was also listed as one of the 2025 main missions in Suzhou “Government Work Report”. Currently, we are striving for including the construction in National Development and Reform Commission’s key cooperation missions and item list of “Belt and Road China-Saudi Joint Construction”.

 

In the future, as the key bridge for China-Saudi enterprise cooperation, Saudi Center will provide platforms for the contacts and cooperations of China-Saudi public and private sectors, offer entity support and normalized mechanism for China-Saudi enterprise cooperation, and build a demonstrative sample of “the Belt and Road Initiative” docking Saudi Arabia.

Pragmatic Cooperation, Strengthen Ecological Foundation

In order to deepen China-Saudi strategic cooperation, build Saudi Center international ecological cooperation chain, and provide enablement for China-Saudi two-way investment and cooperation in fields such as fund, trade, service and talent, the conference had the following signings: “China-Saudi Fund Cooperation Signing”, “China-Saudi Trade Signing”, and “China-Saudi Partnership Agreement Signing”.

 

 

 

 

 

Jointly Explore New Opportunities for China-Saudi Investment and Trade

Mr. Khaled Almana, and Ms. Ma Jingnan, vice president of Shanghai REFIRE Group, were invited to respectively deliver keynote speeches on “Opportunity and Challenge of China’s Enterprises in Saudi Arabia”, and “Technologies Enable Transportation – Promotion Progress of Fuel Cell Commercial Vehicles”.

 

 

 

Round table forum gathered China-Saudi enterprise representatives and influential industrial leaders in the gulf region. They conducted in-depth discussions centering on two-way investment and trade cooperation, focused on the opportunities and challenges China and Arab countries (especially Saudi Arabia) face at macro level and under the background of “the Belt and Road Initiative”, and explored the new path to promote bilateral trade and investment. The guests shared market insights and best practices centering on core topics such as bilateral trade, industrial investment and park cooperation.

 

 

Often visit Changshu, a blessed land in southern China, and move forward together with one united heart on the new silk road. Just as mentioned in the speech from Ye Feng, in the future, with the wisdom of “harmony in diversity”, China-Saudi enterprises will jointly explore new paths for multilateral cooperations. Land Group will also bring its subsidiary enterprises including MOBO, Sieland Digital Technology (cooperating with Siemens), Biland Intelligent Technology (joint venture with Baidu), and work together with top international cooperation partners to help building Changshu into a “Belt and Road” model city, and create a Changshu internationalized industrial city landmark!
