In December 2022, president Xi Jinping attended first Sino-Arabia national summit and Sino-GCC summit in Riyadh, and paid a state visit to Saudi Arabia. Both nations signed “contacting and implementation plan regarding co-building the Belt and Road advocation and 2030 vision”, and will jointly promote the cooperation in developing and constructing fields such as both nations’ infrastructure, production capability, energy, trade and investment, finance, human culture and special economic zone.

Under the national strategic background of closer cooperation, Land Group, together with Energy Investment Special Committee of China Investment Association (EIPC), National Centre for Sustainable Development(NCSD), George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations, and China International Capital Corporation (CICC), had deep communication with multiple government organizations, enterprises and scientific research institute such as the Saudi Ministries of Energy, Investment, Industrial Mining, KASCT and Jeddah Special Economic Zone. Topics were about multilateral cooperations such as co-building 20 square kilometers zero-carbon park and establishing Saudi-Sino Center in KAEC, and building Sino-Saudi Center and Saudi Arabia bilateral park in China.

During the trip in Saudi Arabia, Land Group signed cooperation memorandum with Sky Tower Saudi Arabia Investment. Base on the consensus on 2030 vision and 2060 carbon neutrality goal, both parties will cooperate on capital, technology, talent and industry and establish joint venture in Saudi Arabia, center on building the industrial ecology for KAEC Sky Tower Zero Carbon Industrial Park, and speed up the deep integration of Saudi supply chain, innovation chain, talent chain and capital chain. Meanwhile, both parties will actively promote KAEC to invest and construct first Saudi Arabia industrial park in the Yangtze River Delta. The park will jointly interact with KAEC Sky Tower Zero Carbon Industrial Park to build high-quality “going out” and “inviting in” platforms for both countries. Responding to national call, Land Group will promote the global layout for both countries, continuously deepen cooperation in fields such as two-way investment, scientific innovation, and service trade, and promote Sino-Saudi cooperation to develop toward a higher quality, full fields and comprehensive level.

As one of the global main economic unit, Saudi Arabia recently speeds up the development of relations with the eastern and Asian countries, and “looking and moving toward the east” becomes the new tendency of internal affairs and foreign relations. Saudi Arabia will deepen connection between Saudi “2030 vision” and China proposed “the Belt and Road” strategy. Land Group will firmly respond to national strategic call, serve Sino-Saudi two-way industrial development, promote Sino-Saudi win-win cooperation, and bring Land power into full play in international cooperation.
